Jeff C. Young

Jeff C. Young is Senior Vice President/Investments of First Financial Equity Corporation in Scottsdale , Arizona . He has been a financial advisor and investment planner since 1982. Jeff advises companies and individuals in asset management and wealth accumulation. Jeff is a Securities broker, a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) and holds an Arizona real estate license.

Jeff is a recognized authority in the securitized real estate industry, and is a Charter Member of the Tenants in Common Association (TICA). He teaches real estate investment courses at the Arizona School of Business and Real Estate and the Maricopa County (AZ) Community College System. He was a founder and chairman of the Independent Rental Owners Council from 1998 to 2005. He also owns Young Properties, LLC, a real estate investment concern.

Jeff is a retired Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserves. He served three years active duty in the Infantry during the Viet Nam War, and spent twelve of his military reserve years in the Office of the Chief of Staff at the Pentagon with a Top Secret Security Clearance. He was mobilized for Operation Desert Storm in 1991 and served as Team Chief in the Army Operations Center at the Pentagon. He is a graduate of the U.S. Army’s Command and General Staff College.

As a nationally known public speaker, Jeff won Toastmaster International’s World Championship of Public Speaking in 1980, becoming the first person in the organization’s history to win both first and second in International competition. (He won 2nd place in Vancouver , Canada , two years prior.) He continues to speak regularly at various conferences and conventions throughout the nation.

Jeff is a 1970 graduate from the University of Houston with a degree in Communications. Following his active duty tour, he owned businesses in Houston and Los Angeles prior to relocating to Arizona .

He and his wife Jane live in Scottsdale and have a son and daughter in college, and another daughter who graduated from N.A.U. (Biology, Summa Cum Laude) in 2001.

Jeff is an amateur woodworker and an accomplished photographer.

Kathy Bax
Vice President-Investments

Kathy is the Vice President-Investments of First Financial Equity Corporation in Scottsdale , Arizona . She lives and works in Las Vegas and has been a financial advisor since 2002, serving individuals, families and businesses in all financial aspects including retirement, estate planning, business planning and 1031 Tenant-In-Common exchanges.. Kathy also has a real estate license in Nevada , focusing on commercial properties. She is owner of Bax Family Office, LLC; a firm providing value-added services for affluent families.

Kathy serves on the board of Technology Business Alliance of Nevada (TBAN) and on the advisory board for Project Shero.

Before moving to Las Vegas , Kathy owned a telecommunications business in Connecticut for 10 years and worked prior to that in IBM management for 17 years. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Systems and Data Processing from Washington University in St. Louis , a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Western Connecticut State University , and an MBA from The University of Phoenix.

Four years ago Kathy and her husband, Danny, spent two months hiking the New England portion of the Appalachian Trail . They continue to enjoy hiking and other outdoor activities.
